The MP urged the Lt. Governor to issue directions to all government departments of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to fill up all vacant posts in time bound manner.

The LG had told media that for Category A and B, UPSC has to take initiatives and Administration is continuously pressuring the UPSC and he had promised that all other vacancies in other categories will be filled by July 2018.
As 2019 Lok Sabha election is hardly a year away, this issue of vacant posts has already become a crucial election agenda.
