Port Blair, Nov 14: Andaman Avians Club celebrated the 121st birth anniversary of Dr. Salim Ali, one of the greatest ornithologists and naturalists of all time, is also known as the Birdman of India. On the occasion, Club members along with invited guests Mr. Naveen Kumar, IFS, DCF Wildlife & Mr. P.K.Paul, DCF Social Forestry went bird watching inside the Biological Park at Chidiyatapu for a span of over 2 hours starting at 6.30 am. Despite the gloomy weather, the group managed to spot 39 species of birds. Later the members paid a floral tribute to him at a simple ceremony at the Forest Guest House.
