‘Beach Festival’ at Corbyn’s Cove & Wandoor beaches from Jan. 11; participation invited

Port Blair, Jan.3: The Tourism Department, A&N Administration in collaboration with stakeholders is organizing ‘Beach Festival’ every year with the concept to popularize the beach activities in A&N Islands apart from providing sundown entertainment to the Islanders as well as to the visiting tourists. ‘Beach Festival-2018’ will be organized from Jan.11 to 14, 2018. The main venue will be at Corbyn’s Cove, Port Blair where delicious Food Courts, handicrafts stalls, fun games, adventure water sports, rain dance and live musical programmes will be arranged. Beach Festival-2018 will also be arranged at Wandoor Beach from Jan.11 to 14, 2018.

During the festival, ‘Beach Sports Competitions’ will be organized at Corbyn’s Cove to encourage more participation from general public and tourists which will involve Beach Volley Ball, Tug of War, Coconut Tree climbing, Musical Chair and Sand Sculputure competitions etc. Fisherman Dinghi Decoration and Fisherman Dinghi Race will also be organized during the festival through Fisheries Department which will be an added attraction for the visitors.

Stalls for Food Court and open space for fun games etc. will be allotted by PBMC on their own terms and conditions and interested person who desire to put-up their stalls may contact Smt. Vandana, Asst. Engineer, (Works), PBMC (9434282019).
