Burglary case solved by South Andaman Police

Port Blair, Dec 05: Recently, a written complaint from Devesh Dhananjay, Govt. Servant in Indian Air Force, R/o. Monohar Lal, Prothrapur was received at PS Pahargaon regarding theft of some gold ornaments and cash. Upon this an FIR was chalked out under relevant sections and a special team consisting of SI P Jeevan, HC/P Babu Rao, PC/S N Pathak, PC/Bhaskar Rao, PC/Emmamuddin Khan under Insp. Sahil Samsuddin, SHO PS Pahargaon was constituted to nab the accused.

The Police team swung into action and traced out the accused namely Bipul Biswas R/o Bathu Basthi within 12 hours from the registration of the FIR. During sustained interrogation the accused confessed about selling of the stolen property to one person namely Prabhu R/o Bathu Basthi who was then intercepted and the stolen property was recovered from his possession. Both accused persons have been booked under relevant sections of law and produced before the Hon’ble Court from where they have been remanded to judicial custody.

South Andaman Police has worked tirelessly in cracking these cases and put tremendous & skilled efforts in their assigned duties under the supervision of SDPO (SA).
