CISF Organises Blood Donation Camp in Port Blair

Port Blair, June 13: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is celebrating 50th year of excellence in securing nation’s assets. As part of celebration of CISF Golden Jubilee year 2018-2019 and World Blood Donor Day 14th June, CISF organised a blood donation camp on 13 June 2018. CISF unit Port Blair Airport headed by CISF Deputy Commandant Mr. D.S.Daniel Dhanaraj took the initiative to organise the Blood Donation Camp in Port Blair.
The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by the Airport Director Mr. George D’Silva and Coast Guard Commandant Mr.. B.Ilavarasan. Mr. Ganesh Samadhar Blood Safety Officer, CRPF Assistant Commandant Sanjeet Kumar and CISF Assistant Commandant Kamal Kumar Singh were also present in the inaugural ceremony of the blood donation camp. The Blood Camp is organised by CISF in association with Andaman Nicobar Aids Control Society. The medical support required for the blood donation camp was provided by Andaman Nicobar Aids Control Society. Blood Donors were also provided Certificates by Andaman Nicobar Aids Control Society. There was wide participation from various agencies. 85 persons from CISF, Coast Guard, CRPF, All Airlines operating at VSI Airport and Shapoorji Pallonji & Company Private Limited donated blood voluntarily in the Blood Donation Camp.
