Coast Guard Public School, Campbell Bay Celebrates Annual Day

Port Blair, Apr 17: A rainbow of colours unfurled on the stage as Coast Guard Public School, Campbell Bay celebrated its Annual Day Functionon 16 Apr 18. Inspector General KR Suresh, Tatrakshak Medal, Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N) was the chief guest. Patron-in-Chief and Mrs Jayanthi Suresh, President Tatrakshika (A&N) were also present during the ceremony. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest along with Mr Lokesh Kumar, Zonal Office Education, Campbell Bay and President, Student Management Committee.
On completion of welcome a soulful rendition by Kathak Dance, mime on save water with the plea to dispel the darkness and bring awareness on “water conservation is our future’’ by the student was eyes catching and enthralled the audience. The dance, presented by two-junior sections, the pre- primary department, took the audience on a spectacular journey of childhood. Folk dance on Hojagiri of the state of Tripura, performed by the students grabbed uninterrupted attention of the audience.The audience felt devotion towards the god as qawwali performed by the of group students.
The Annual School Report read by the Principal, Mrs.Hemali Kushwaha, brought to fore, the achievements of the students of the school and presented the Principal’s vision for the progress of the school. The Patron-in-Chief awarded trophy to the school and best over all in sports followed by unveiling of first ever magazine of Coast Guard Public School, Campbell Bay. As a part of promotion of Digital India Campaign, GoI, flagship programme, two in number laptops were presented to the Principal and Officer-In-Charge of school by Mrs Jayanthi Suresh, President Tatrakshika (A&N).
The Chief Guest, Inspector General KR Suresh, Tatrakshak Medal, Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N) congratulated parents of girl children who are the facilitator and promotor of flagship programme “Beti Bacho Beti Padhao” in spite of limited resources and avenues in this remote island. He also lauded the efforts of the school students and staff for an enthralling function.
