COMMENCEMENT OF “SWACHHTA PAKHWADA” BY INDIAN COAST GUARD

Port Blair, Dec 01:Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N) kick-started a 15 days long “SwachhtaPakhwada” w.e.f 01 Dec 17 with an aim to instill the importance of cleaner and greener India in the minds of Isles people. The Indian Coast Guard has been contributing significantly towards nation building since its inception.
The service has been effectively contributing not only towards clean India campaign but also has taken step towards “SwachhaSagarAbhiyan” through putting efforts towards beach clean ship in these pristine Islands. ICGS Durgabaieshmukh, ICGS C-428 and ICGS C-146 jointly conducted clean up drive in the Coast Guard premises. A total of 30 personnel participated in the event including Officers and Enrolled Personnel.
The Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N) has planned many activities in the forthcoming weeks which include Clean-ship drives, Slogan writing, Debates and Poem writing etc. as part of “SwachhtaPakhwada”. A communiqué received from PRO Coast Guard.
