Convener of AAP demands early infrastructure development of UP Basthi

Port Blair, Feb 05: Mr Sanjay Meshack, Convener, Aam Aadmi Party, A & N Islands has demanded the Andaman Nicobar Administration to develop all required and needy infrastructure in the UP Basthi area of Sippighat for the residents of the area.
In a letter addressed to Andaman Sheekha, Mr Sanjay Meshack stated that he visited the area along with Aam Aadmi Party state observer Elvin Baruah, Sunil Kumar, Anshi Mary, Sheela volunteers & members of Shipighat Aam Aadmi Party committee where he has received numerous complaints from the residents of the area about very poor of roads, no proper drinking water facility, no sewer & no human habitat infrastructure etc.
He said that as per the local residents they are raising their voices from last 17 years to construct the road as well as proper infrastructure but neither the Andaman Administration, Zilla Parishad, Panchyat Samithi & Gram Panchayat bothered to make the road.
“Basic facility is the right of the citizens and the residents of UP Basti are still deprived from their rights,” Mr Sanjay said.
Mr Meshack lastly requested the Lt Governor to give directions to the concern authorities to provide basic infrastructure to the residents of UP Basthi area of Sippighat.
