Culmination of Cycling cum Trekking Expedition by Andaman and Nicobar Command

Port Blair, June 03: The 12 day Cycling cum Trekking expedition flagged off by Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, ADC, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command on 21 May 2018 culminated on 03 Jun 2018 at Indira Point.
The expedition conducted by 15 ASSAM Regiment under the aegis of 108 Mountain Brigade covered all the major islands in Andaman & Nicobar and covered a distance of 980 Kms.
Lead by Colonel Devashis Nayak, Commanding Officer along with five Officers, three Junior Commissioned Officers & 23 soldiers of Army, Navy & Air Force, the aim of the expedition was to enhance jointness, bonhomie amongst services and to spread awareness amongst Islanders about Swachh Bharat Initiative. The successful completion of this expedition has added another laurel in the achievements of the Andaman and Nicobar Command.
