IGNOU Celebrates World Aids Day with School Children

Port Blair, Nov 25:  To create awareness about prevention of AIDS, the Indira Gandhi National Open University Regional Centre, Port Blair is celebrating the World Aids Day on Friday,    29th November 2019 along with School Children. IGNOU invites Essay on “Ten Ways to Prevent AIDS”. The School children studying 6th to 12th standard can write the Essay in English or Hindi at home with maximum of 250 words. The oral presentation of the essay, by individual student, will be carried out at the function. All school students are eligible to participate in the essay writing — cum — oral presentation on AIDS. The appreciation certificate will be given to all the School children who participate in the oral presentation.

The school teachers and parents are requested to motivate the young school children to participate in the event, to create awareness about AIDS. The students may visit IGNOU Regional Centre Library to refer the IGNOU study material on HIV and Family Education (English or Hindi). To promote AIDS awareness education in the region, the Regional Centre has arranged an exhibition of study material of HIV and Family Education at its library.  For more details, students may contact the Assistant Regional Director Dr. T.R.
