Inspector General Maneesh Vishal Pathak Assumes Charge of Coast Guard in A&N Region

Port Blair, June 04: Inspector General Maneesh Vishal Pathak took over the reigns of Indian Coast Guard Region (A&N) as the 24th CG Commander, on 04th Jun 18. Flag Officer is 1989 batch Coast Guard officer, having a vast experience of various Operational and Staff appointments, during his 29 years of illustrious career. The Flag Officer has commanded various classes of Coast Guard Ships viz. Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel ‘Sankalp’, Offshore Patrol Vessel ‘Vajra’, Fast Patrol Vessel ‘Kamla Devi’, Inshore Fast Patrol Vessel ‘Ramadevi’ and Interceptor Boat ‘C-62’. Important Command appointment ashore include the Commander, Coast Guard District Headquarter No. 04, Kerala. The other key staff appointments of the Flag Officer include, Principal Director (Administration), Director (MP R&T) and Joint Director Operations at Coast Guard Headquarters New Delhi. On elevation to the Flag rank in 2017, he took over as Chief of Staff at Coast Guard Commander(Western Seaboard) prior assuming present office of Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N).
Inspector General Maneesh Vishal Pathak has undergone IMO course from US Coast Guard Academy, USA and is recipient of DGICG Commendation for various achievements.
On assuming Command of Coast Guard Region A&N, the Flag Officer reiterated his priority to work with utmost synergy and comradeship alongwith the A&N Command. He also emphasised upon working in close coordination with A & N Administration, Police, fisheries, forest and other government agencies for strengthening Coastal Security mechanism and safety of fishermen at sea. The Flag Officer also emphasized towards further strengthening of operational infrastructure and augmentation of assets for expanding sphere of operations by Coast Guard.
