INTACH donates camera to Kendriya Vidyala and trains students to make documentary films

Port Blair, Sept 12: The INTACH Andaman and Nicobar Chapter orgaised The First FILM IT Workshop on 7th September 2019 in Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 for 25 students. The resource person was Ms. Samhita Veda Acharya, Convener, INTACH.


The FILM IT workshop is a nationwide project that INTACH took up ten years back and hundreds of students have participated in film making workshops and submitted films on heritage of different states in our country.


The students at KV1 were taught how to make short films with minimum resources. They were taught basics of film making like Preparation, Shoot and Editing with finer details on Scripting, Story Board, Camera angles, Sound, and Editing.


Two short films were also screened during the workshop which were made by Students from schools in the mainland who were taught film making in FILM IT workshops.


The Camera which was donated by HECS, INTACH, NEW DELHI was handed over to the school principal Mrs. Raji, in the presence of life members Abhijit Agarwal and Col. Cherian.
