Jolly inaugurates CWR Tank

Port Blair, Oct 31: In a simple function held on 31.10.2017 at Haddo (Ward No:2) Mr. Vishal Jolly, Member , HMAC inaugurated a CWR Tank (Circular Type) of capacity 67,200 gallons in presence of Mr. Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson, PBMC and Mr. Someswara Rao, Ward Councillor. The function was also attended by Smti S.Selvi, Jr. Vice Chairperson, Smti Sheela Singh, Smti Anusia Devi, Smti Rubana Aziz, Mr. K.Ganeshan, Mr. S.N.N.Gregory, Mr. C.H.Babu, Mr. Keshava Moorthy, Councillors and Senior officials of the Council. The project was executed at an approximate estimated amount of Rs. 30 lakhs.
On induction of the CWR will resolve the present water crises in the nearby areas specially during summer spell. While welcoming the gathering Mr. Someswara Rao, Ward Councillor informed that the Haddo being a hilly area the citizens are facing acute shortage of drinking water. Keeping in view of the intricacy being faced by the residents the PBMC embarked on this noble project and completed in a time bound manner which will immensely benefit the populace of that area.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson reiterated the commitments of PBMC to provide essential services to its citizens and appreciated the efforts of the Ward Councillor and PBMC officials to complete the project.
The Chairperson also informed that consequent effort of Mr. Someswara Rao a land belongs to APWD has been set apart in favour of the Council for constructing parking place near Thirupathi Temple, Haddo. Mr. Vishal Jolly, Member, HMAC exhorted that PBMC has done a commendable job keeping in view of the explicit requirement of the Citizens and applauded the initiatives of the Ward Councillor to fulfill the minimum basic requirement of the citizens. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Vallabha Narayana, a senior citizen of Ward No:2.
