Port Blair, Feb 13: A week long non residential ‘Life Skills Education Programme’ under the Scheme of National Programme for Youth and Adolescent Development (NPYAD), Ministry of Youth Affairs and sports Govt. of India conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair concluded Yesterday on 12th February, 2018 at Govt. Secondary School Junglighat, Port Blair, in which total of 40 Participants from different School & College Participated.
During the concluding function Dr.H. M Siddaraju Deputy Director (Malaria) Directorate of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration was the Chief Guest. In his address he elaborated various deficiency found under Adolescent Age Group and its prevention Knowledge, Attitude and Skill is a key for success in life. Smti Susma Pandey councilor spoke about three broad areas of life skills: thinking skills, social skills and negotiating skills, explained about immense value for adolescents.
Earlier Mr. Kundan Lal District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Port Blair welcomed the dignitaries and detailed about the seven days activities. Some of Participants shared their experiences for a week long programme. At last Mr. Mohamed Iqbal PET proposed the vote of thanks.
