MP Meets MoS for Home Affairs in Concern to Promulgation of the Law of Domicile

Port Blair, Mar 12: Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament had sent a letter bearing No. 03/MP/ANI/MHA/2018/02 dated 09-01-2018 to Ministry of Home Affairs, govt. of India regarding promulgation of law of domicile through the Parliament with the approval of President of India to protect the interest of educated youth belonging to bona-fide Islanders of this territory in recruitment of Group ’B’ (NG) and Group ‘C’ posts of A & N Administration.

In reference to the aforesaid letter dated 09.01.2018, Mr. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, the Minister of State for Home Affairs vide his DO letter no. U-11036/1/2017-UTL dated 23-02-2018 has informed that the reference letter of MP, Andaman has been sent to the UT Administration vide Ministry’s letter No U-11036/1/2017-UTL dated 22-01-2018 for taking appropriate action in this regard.

Since the issue is an items of “Election Manifesto” of 16th Lok Sabha Election, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament through this NEWS item requested the Administration for taking appropriate action for promulgation of law of domicile as suggested vide his letter dated 09-01-2018 expeditiously to protect the interest of bona-fide Islanders of this UT Islands.
