National Cooperative Union of India; organize inaugural programme on beautician Course at Sangeeta Tailoring

Port Blair, Feb 05: The National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers welfare, Department of Cooperation), A&N Island unit has organized a inaugural programme for one moth long duration Advance beautician Course at Sangeeta Tailoring of Fashion Designing Institute Complex, Garacharma today (05.02.2018). Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman. A & N State Cooperative Union was the Chief guest on the occasion while addressing the assemblage, the chief guest said that the women folks have the power to build our society in as much of the self hel group are found by the women in A&N islands therefore they are shoal designing the onus of improving socio economic condition of grass root level of our society. Mr Sharma also appreciated the efforts of the National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project, A&N Island unit is organizing such meaningful training courses for ultimate benefit of women folk/members of self help group.
Welcoming the gathering Mr Surendra Nath Singh, Project Officer, National Cooperative Union of India, Cooperative Education Field Project, A&N Island unit said that the concept of self help group is much powerful as women folk get opportunity here to work together by sharing their ideas and skill to achieve the ultimate target of economic liberation. He further informed that the NCUI-CEFP has been promoted 500 self help group so far with 5500 members. The rural women members are fully engaged in various income generating activities after taking financial assistance through A&N state Cooperative Bank which helps them for socio-economic upliftment, Dr.NC Choudary, Assistant Chief Technical Officer Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sippighat in his address said that self help group is the best means for establishing self employment unit for their income generation. Mr Kundan Lal, District Youth Coordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra also spoke on the occasion. Certificate were also issued to 25 successfully qualified women trainees by the Chief guest for three (3) month long duration cutting and tailoring course being organized in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair. 25 women members of self help group are participating in the beautician course.
