PBMC Chairperson inaugurates passenger waiting shed

Port Blair 26 April: In a simple function held today on 26.04.2018 at Ward No: 22 three passenger waiting shed were inaugurated by ShriIndra Pal Singh, Chairperson, PBMC, in presence of SmtiVaishali Rani Dayal, Ward Councillor. SmtiVinithaMalhothra, SVC, Shri SNN Gregory, ShriArubadi, Councillors, senior officials of the Council and general public from ward no. 22 were also present on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion the chairperson exhorted that a good passenger waiting shed is an essential part of any successful urban mass-transit system. Now, the people can be able to board the bus conveniently. Waiting for public transport buses in these sweltering conditions can be a rather uncomfortable experience. It has been a long pending demand of the local populace of the area. As no passenger waiting shed have been constructed in these areas and commuters are forced to wait for bus under the scorching sun without any protection.
Further, he appealed the populace that the Council has constructed the facilities and handed over to public to avail the benefits and to keep the same in safe and clean. The Council is making its sincere efforts to make the city clean and green. Chairperson also informed the gathering that due to the continuous and dedicated efforts of the Councillor and the staffs of the Council, the projects was able to complete in a time bound manner.
