Police Nabs one Person for Theft

Port Blair, Apr 03: In a major breakthrough, Rangat Police has apprehended one person namely Debasish Dhali S/o. Basudev Dhali (24) yrs R/o. Parnasala on 29/03/2018 for committing theft in a Garrage at Hawamahal, Rangat.
On the basis of written complaint received from Shri. Murugan S/o. Shri. Subramaniam R/o. Rangat who runs a driving school in the name of Murugan driving school at Rangat and he own a Maruti 800 car bearing No. AN 01 H 7161 which is used for driving school purpose. From the last 02 weeks his aforesaid Maruti 800 car was not in use as he was busy in organizing Murugan Puja at Rangat and because of which the above said car was parked in front of his driving school at Hawamahal Rangat near DFO Office. On 29/03/18 at 0700 hrs when his staff noticed that the bonnet of the car was opened and the car battery was stolen and a pressure gauge which was kept inside his garage was also stolen. He tried to find his stolen battery and the pressure gauge but did not find the same. Upon which a case was registered at PS Rangat and investigation of the case was entrusted SI Jeetender Lall of PS Rangat and within four hours the involved accused person has been arrested alongwith the stolen properties. The theft case has been worked out with the help of CCTV footage.
The case was detected by the team comprising of SI Jeetender Lall, HC/1275 K.K Singh, PC/2337 Y. Srinivas Rao, PC/1549 Ram Raj, HG/614 Ashutosh Mondal under the supervision of SI T. Hemavathi SHO PS Rangat and closely monitored by Shri. Sukant S. Ballab SDPO, Diglipur.
