SATHI re-starts De-addiction Centre

Port Blair, April 03: “SATHI” a registered NGO, working in the field of de-addiction in the islands since 2004, have re-started their de-addiction centre at Junglighat, Port Blair. The centre has been started with the help of Andaman & Nicobar Administration, who were kind enough to allot a Type-III Quarter No. JGE/38 for conducting the de-addiction / counseling activities. On 9th March 2018 Smti. Rashmi Singh, IAS Secretary (Social Welfare) in the presence of Dr. S.P. Barma, Director of Health Services formally inaugurated the centre and assured the Managing Committee of the NGO that all help will be provided by the Administration to make the centre successful.
The centre is located behind the Ayush Hospital in Junglighat and is being manned by two counselors and a Doctor and will be opened for the patients from 9.30 AM to 4.30 PM from Monday to Saturday. Those who require any assistance may kindly contact the centre for treatment/counseling.
