Port Blair, Jan 12: A two days ToT (Training of Trainers) programme for AYUSH Doctors/Yoga Instructors on ‘Module of orientation of ASHAs & ANMs on General Wellness & prevention of common ailments including Diabetes Mellitus through AYUSH systems’, jointly organized by AYUSH Wing DHS and A&N State AYUSH Society at TGCE Auditorium from 11th to 12th January, 2018 completed successfully.
The programme was a part of initiative of Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India to train the ASHAs/ANMs in the selected AYUSH practices of Ayurveda, Yoga and Homeopathy systems; so that their services can be utilized to create the awareness particularly about Non Communicable diseases in the community up to the grass root level.
40 Doctors/Yoga Instructors working under various schemes of the health department were benefited from the programme. They will impart further training to the ASHAs & ANMs at District, Block and PHC level in the entire UT.
