Stolen Property of Japanese Tourists Recovered

Port Blair, May 09: Two Juveniles in Conflict with Law have been apprehended by the Police Station Pahargaon in the case of a theft that had taken place on 3rd May 2018, where fishing equipments, worth US$ 5000, were stolen from the vehicle of Japanese tourists.
On 03/05/18, a theft case was reported at PS Pahargaon by Mr. Sushil Toppo, Tourist guide of “GAMEFISHINGASIA” stating that he along with three Japanese Nationals visited Rangachang-02 beach for sightseeing. They had parked their vehicle near road side and kept some game fishing equipments, worth US$ 5000 inside the vehicle, which the tourists had brought from Japan. After returning, they found that somebody had stolen their game fishing equipments. The cost of these equipments is around Rs 3 Lakh in Indian currency.
Acting on the complaint, a team lead by SI P. Jeevan, PC Vijay Ram, PC Sameer Das & PC E. Khan formed under the guidance of SI Pritam Behari, I/c PS Pahargaon and Supervision of SDPO (SA) Mr. Nishant Gupta. The team apprehended the two juveniles in conflict with law and recovered the stolen articles from their possession within two hours of reporting. The Japanese Tourists appreciated the swift response of police.
