Timely Intervention of Coast Guard Medical Team Saves Life of a Youngster at Diglipur

Port Blair, June 14: On 09 Jun 18 at Aerial bay area in Diglipur near Durgapur jetty, a person named Sunil aged 18 years, resident of Gaddabasti was found injured at road side. He was severely bleeding and was left unattended. The medical sailors of Coast Guard Station Diglipur, while passing by, noticed the injured man and took immediate action by providing first aid. They controlled the bleeding and informed the doctor posted in the station and civil authorities. Subsequently the doctor arrived with the ambulance and other medical facilities. The injured was provided with preliminary medical care and evacuated to CHC Diglipur for further higher medical management. Presently, individual is recovering well. The timely intervention and the devotion to the duty of the Coast Guard medical team played a crucial role in saving precious life.
