Training of medical personnel on amphibious operations by Headquarters Andaman and Nicobar Command

Port Blair, Nov 02: A three day capsule course from 30 Oct to 01 Nov 17, on familarisation training in medical aspects of amphibious operations was conducted for medical personnel of the various components from Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard under the aegis of Headquarters Andaman and Nicobar Command (Medical Division). The course which was inaugurated by Maj Gen PS Sai, Chief of Staff, Andaman & Nicobar Command, comprised lectures, demonstrations and onsite training. A demonstration of amphibious operations and beaching of ship was conducted on 01 Nov 17 as a part of the curriculum.
Maj Gen PS Sai, Chief of Staff, Headquarters Andaman & Nicobar Command appreciated the efforts of Headquarters Andaman & Nicobar Command (Medical Division) for organising the maiden training capsule. The course will be conducted at repeated intervals to make the medical personnel posted in Andaman & Nicobar Command, conversant of the medical aspects of amphibious operations.
