Port Blair, Mar 04: The Police Training School, Prothrapur, A&N Islands organized two days course on “FIRST AID TECHNIQUES” from 26/03/2018 to 27/03/2018 for in-service Police personnel from the rank of Constable to Inspector. The main objective of the course is to enhance the knowledge about First Aid and how to utilize first Aid during emergencies or accidental situations. During the course Shri K.Michal Raj(DANIPS), Vice Principal, PTS, Dr. Narayan Raja Ram CHS, Specialist ANIIMS, Anesthesia Dept., G.B Pant Hospital, SI D.K. Seal, PTS, CT(W) E. Chander Sekher, IRBn and HC CH Joga Rao, IRBn delivered informative lectures on the topics like, Principles and Objectives of First Aid, Importance and procedures for basic life support ( Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation-CPR), how to respond to assist the sufferers of – Cuts, Scrapes, Fractures, Snake bite & Burns etc., First aid for Drowning, Electric Shock, Dehydration and heart attack victim, Medical emergencies- Approach of Police personnel, lifting & moving on multiple casualty or injuries with practical and how to tackle situation after arrival at the place of incident.-spot. Altogether, 15 Police personnel of various Police Station/Units participated in this course. At the end, Shri K. Michal Raj, DANIPS, Vice Principal, PTS concluded the training programme on emphasizing the objectives of the course and its thorough implementation. The course was coordinated by SI D.K.Seal PTS, Prothrapur.
