Valedictory of Skill Development Training Program


Port Blair, June 11: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Port Blair) assisted one month “Skill Development Training Programme Under Beauty And Spa To Empowering The Adult School Or College Dropout Women” was completed in the first week of June 2018. Following to that a valedictory program has been organized by the Andaman & Nicobar State Social Welfare Board on 07.06.2018 and 08.06.2018 at Diglipur and Rangat respectively at Panchayat halls. The General Manager of Port Blair, Shri.BVS Prasad was the chief guest in the occasion and Smt.Prabhavati, Zilla Parishad member, Rangat, Pradhan of Subhash Gram Panchayat Smt.Alpana Mondal, Pradhan Rangat Grama Panchayat Shri.Satish Kumar Singh, Smt.Sharmila Sherla, Assistant General Manager of NABARD, Board Member, Smt. Laxmi and Shri.Lokesh M, Secretary from A&N State Social Welfare Board, were present during the occasion.
In the occasion BVS Prasad, General Manager of NABARD addressed the gather and advised to utilize these skills in the better way for the self employment with exploring financial assistances available from different schemes and assistance from Panchayat level also. Panchayath pradhans present over were assured to extend their support in facilitating to start parlors if trainees are desired and approach.
All trainees were requested the officials of NABARD to extend the training program for another 3 months as one month duration is not enough to learn. Following to this Assistant General Manager of NABARD Smt. Sharmila Sherla assured to look into the possibilities to extend the training program as requested by the trainees. In the welcome address delivered by the Secretary of A&N State Social Welfare Board, highlighted the importance of skill development training program in empowering the women through upgrading the skills of their interests and make them ready for employment or self employment. He thanked Smt.Ashima and Smt.Jolly Samudar trainers for their efforts to train the trainees in one month duration.
In the occasion, certificates were distributed to the trainees followed by vote of thanks delivered by the Board Member of A&N State Social Welfare Board Smt.Laxmi.
