Waqf Board conducts 05 days Application Specific Training programme

Port Blair, Feb 02: Waqf Board A & N Islands in collaboration with Ministry of Minority Affairs, Central Waqf Council and National Informatics Centre conducted 05 days Application Specific Training programme on Waqf Assets Management System of India (WAMSI) for the Staff of Waqf Board A & N Islands in the Conference Hall of Megapode Nest from 29th January 2018 to 02nd February 2018. The Programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Tabraiz, Chairperson, Waqf Board A & N Islands. The objective of the Programme was to train the Staff about updation of the Registration Module, Annual Returns Module, Leasing Module, Litigation Module on the web portal of Central Waqf Council.
The 05 days training programme concluded on 02/02/2018 in the Conference Hall of Megapode Nest, Haddo. Mr. Pradeep Kumar Banarjee, Secretary (Law) A & N Administration graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and in his speech he appreciated the efforts made by the Waqf Board A & N Islands and wish all success to the Board. Mr. Abdul Rasheed, Executive Officer, Waqf Board A & N Islands welcomed the house. The Chairperson Mr. Mohammed Tabraiz addressed the gathering about the significance and benefits of the Programme and requested all Waqf Management Authorities to extend their full cooperation to the Waqf Board for an early registration of all Waqfs on the web portal of Central Waqf Council. Mr. K. Narayanan, State Informatics Officer, NIC, Port Blair also spoke on this occasion and assured full support of the NIC for digitization of Waqf. Mr. Rizwanullah, Chief Executive Officer, Waqf Board A & N Islands extended vote of thanks to all present.
