South Andaman Police conducts awareness campaign on Cashless Society

Port Blair, Dec 15: The South Andaman Police conducted an awareness program on the policy implemented by the Government on Demonetisation of Currency and Cashless Society at Aberdeen Bazaar Market area today.

The newly joined Deputy Superintendent of Police, South Andaman, Nishant Gupta along with the SHO Aberdeen, Inspector Mahesh Yadav and technical representatives of Co operative Bank conducted the awareness program.

The merchants and public of the market area were taught about the advantages of cashless society. The newly joined DySP emphasised that using more card banking will not only curb crime but also keep the money safe.

During the awareness campaign methods of e-wallet, mobile banking etc were taught. DySP Nishant Gupta further requested the Merchants to introduce card payment system and go cashless as it will be benefitting the society.(source:www.andamansheekha.com)
