Port Blair, Nov 09: Peace Foundation & Chinmaya Mission, Port Blair in association with A & N AIDS Control Society organized a Blood Donation Camp on the theme “United for Peace” at Anarkali Community Hall on 5th Nov, 2016. Showcasing an example of unity and universal brotherhood people whole heartedly came forward to donate blood. 32 units of blood were collected during the event. The camp was coordinated by Dr. K M Ashif, President, Peace Foundation and Swami Shuddhananda of Chinmaya Mission with the support of Dr. Ganesh Samaddar, Dy. Director, Blood Safety, ANACS. Shri. Ramzan Ali, Councilor, Ward No. 7 facilitated the programme and appreciated Peace Foundation and Chinmaya Mission for organizing such events for a noble cause and urged the general public to come forward irrespective of any caste or community and work together for the betterment and upliftment of the society. This was an initiative of Peace Foundation and Chinmaya Mission to promote interfaith cooperation and create cultures of peace.
