Port Blair, Jan 20: Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust, A&N Islands recently celebrated its 1st Annual Day on 12th January 2021 at Fisheries Colony, Dairy Farm. Annual day celebration programme comprised of cleanliness drive, Blood donation camp, floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda ji on his birth anniversary and felicitation ceremony.
Annual day celebration started with cleanliness drive, our Trust in association with “Walk for plastic and Port Blair Municipal council” had cleaned up surrounding of Fish landing centre at Junglighat.On that day Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, was on a routine field visit and came forward to motivated us. Also, interacted with the volunteers as well as the local Fishermen. We were honoured by the presence of our honourable Deputy commissioner. At 8:45 am to 01:00 pm, A voluntary blood donation camp at G.B.Pant hospital was coordinated by Andaman & Nicobar AIDS control society (ANACS). A total of 28 donors donated blood voluntarily. Of which 18 volunteers were first time donors. 02 lady donors also donated blood on this day. The blood donors were provided with a blood donation certificate by our Trust.
National Youth Day was celebrated on 12th January to honor the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda. This function was organised at Swami Vivekananda statue, JNRM College campus in which members of our Trust offered a floral tributes at the statue of Swami Vivekananda.In evening, Felicitation ceremony held at Fisheries Colony, Junglighatfor the Toppers of the Class Xth and XIIth CBSE Examinations for the year of 2020 and we also felicitated to those people who supported us in helping others. Thanks to all who were participated and make thisall events successfully.
