MESSAGE

It gives me great pleasure and delight to extend my heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to all seafarers and family members on the occasion of 58th National Maritime Day which is celebrated in these Islands along with the entire nation on 05 April 2021.
On this auspicious occasion, let us acknowledge the dedicated yeoman service rendered by all Maritime Organisations especially in maintaining the supply chain and other crucial services, between the Islands and from Mainland, during the past year in times of the pandemic.
As the maritime sector underpins the passenger transshipment and trading in these Islands, I am sure that this sector will continue its efforts with renewed resolve towards building a sustainable future for people of these Islands.
I once again convey my sincere appreciation to the entire Maritime Fraternity for their invaluable contribution in meeting the needs of the Islanders.
