Port Blair, Oct 04: The 21st Blood Donation Camp was held at G.B. Pant Hospital under the banner of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation branch – Port Blair in association with A&N Aids Control Society.

On a special request from the Hospital stating, there are acute shortage of blood in these Islands to help people suffering due to COVID-19 & other acute cases and mission had helped always in any emergency alarmed in this Islands.

Since no medical doctor & staff were free to go any specific places for any blood donation camp, because to treat the patient COVID -19. Considering the request and condition this request was taken on priority and camp was organized at Blood Bank, G.B. Pant hospital from 25th September to 1st October 2020, maintaining all guidelines given by the administration for which a necessary protocol was maintained and out of 07 days, altogether 123 donors were voluntarily donated their blood (11 Female & 112 Male).

This camp has help us to spread message towards raising awareness in the society and encouraging youth to participate this kind of camp being held time to time. As all are aware that the Sant Nirankari Mission is one of the leading blood donors in these Islands, India and well recognized in the world. It is also stated that mission is also involved in many social activities like Disaster Management during natural calamity, women empowerment, cleanliness drive and tree plantation etc.

On successful of the events, the Sector In-charge, Port Blair Mr. Satya Narayan, thanks to the Director (Blood Bank Safety), Project Director (Blood) and all medical team for their valuable support and time, also motivated his team and volunteers for their wonderful SEWA and determination towards mission activities, keeping in their mind that the message of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj “Blood Should Flow In The Vain Of Human Not In The Drain”.
