Port Blair, Dec 03: In continuation of the traffic awareness drive in N&MA district, SI (Traffic) P.K. Shivhare conducted the programmes at various places in the Sub-division Rangat in last week. The SHOs of the concerned police stations of Sub- division Rangat also attended the programmes being conducted in the jurisdiction of their Police Station.

Programmes were conducted at Nimbudera Panchayat, Hari Nagar Panchyat, BJP Chowk Rangat, Kadamtala Panchayat, Uttra Panchayat. Apart from that the police team also visited Govt. Sr. Sec School Swedesh Nagar, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Kadamtala to sensitize the young generation about road safety and traffic rules. Similar programmes were conducted in Diglipur Sub- division in the last week itself. A total of more than 2000 people have attended these programmes in N&MA district during this awareness campaign.
