Port Blair, Dec 03: On 01/12/2019 the passenger ship Swaraj Dweep arrived at Mayabunder. A comprehensive checking exercise was carried out at Mayabunder jetty in which the passengers and the luggage was thoroughly checked. Checking of containers is also being done as and when they are opened. The checking is with the intension to instil confidence in the general public that District police is alert and is taking all measures to make the isles safe and secure for general public.
