Inauguration of art camp and cartoon workshop for school children

Port Blair, May 24: The much awaited painting and cartoon making workshop being organized by the Kala Kendra Society in collaboration with South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur got under way with a stroke of brush on a canvas by Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Director, Art & Culture followed by Mr. Meenakshinatha Pillai, Coordinator, South Zone Cultural Centre at Andaman Club at 4 PM today.

While speaking at the inaugural function, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Director, Art & Culture assured the budding artists of these Islands that the Kala Kendra Society is making every possible effort to promote Art & Culture in these Islands.

During the camp, the budding artists shall have an opportunity to make their best contribution in fine arts. The camp will continue till 1st June and will conclude with an exhibition, wherein the art works done by the budding artists, will be put on display on 2nd June for general public.
