Non Functional SBI ATM of Chouldari Disappoints customers; Relief Coming Soon assures Pradhan

Port Blair, Dec 05: The SBI ATM at Chouldari is giving horrible time to the people of the area. The entire area has two ATM out of this two, one ATM belongs to the Andaman Nicobar State Cooperative Bank, which is non-functional for some official reasons since a long time while the functional ATM of SBI mostly remain closed for reasons unknown.
Public complains that whenever the ATM is opened, it remains out of cash most of the time. Villages of remote areas banks mostly with State Bank of India, including Government Servant and as the entire town ship is slowly shifting towards Chouldari more and more people are becoming dependent on the ATM of State Bank of India at Chouldari.
But every time people visiting SBI ATM, go back deeply disappointed.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha pradhan of Chouldari village Mr. Mohan Halder said that this matter has already been taken up with the concerned authorities and he has been assured that after December 2018 the SBI ATM will be maintained by SBI and hence there will be no issues. “Till now the ATM was outsourced, which was the main reason for the hiccups. Besides this sanctions has come for two more ATM in the region, one near IRBn unit and another near IMFC township, which will be a great relief for public,” Mr. Halder said.
