Port Blair, Nov 04: In a major breakthrough, Rangat Police has apprehended accused persons namely Akash Mondal S/o. Mr. Subodh Mondal (29) yrs R/o. Dasarathpur, Rangat and J. Tirupathi Rao S/o Mr. J. Tulsi Rao (27) yrs, R/o Rangat Bay on 26/10/2018 for committing theft in a Car parked near Pani Tanki, Dasarathpur, Rangat.
On the basis of written complaint received from Smti Bithika Roy D/o Mr. Bhabutosh Roy (34) yrs, Panchayat Secretary R/o Panitanki, Dasarathpur, Rangat in which she stated that on 21/10/2018 at about 1030 hrs she noticed that her Car garage has been broken and when she entered the garage and observed that the door of her car was lying open and the glass were broken and some documents were scattered. Further, she found that the woofer and Amplifier, Digital LED Monitor with rear view mirror, Sandisk Pendrive with OTG 32 GB, Wiper Shield and Small Size Type view Mirror was missing. Upon which a case was registered at PS Rangat and a team comprising of SI. S. Kannan, I/c PS Rangat alongwith SI Parvash, HC Abdul Sameem, and PCs A. Abdul Anish, Gregory Kullu and HG Mangal Katchap succeeded to nab both the accused persons alongwith the stolen properties involved in the above theft case. The whole operation was successfully carried out under the close supervision of Mr. George Lalu, SDPO Rangat.
