SOUTH ANDAMAN POLICE CRACKS BURGLARY CASE WITHIN 08 HOURS AND RECOVERS ALL THE STOLEN PROPERTIES

Port Blair, Feb.14: On 11/02/2020, a written complaint was received from Mr. Suman Bairagi S/o Subal Bairagi (22) yrs R/o Netaji Colony, Dhanikhari at PS Humfrygunj regarding stolen of electronic items and some cash amounting Rs. 7000/- from his shop situated at Dhanikhari Junction by some unknown person. Accordingly, a case has been registered at PS Humfrigunj and the investigation was entrusted to ASI Amit Kumar of PS Humfrigunj. Instantly, a team under the leadership of Inspr. Aditya Narayan, SHO PS Humfrigunj comprising SI Shubham Ghosh, ASI Amit Kumar, HC Abdul Basir, HC Nelson, PC P. Abdul Basheer, PC Rohan Lall & PC Umawathi has been formed and gathered information through local sources. Subsequently, 02 juveniles suspect were interrogated and finally confessed their guilt and disclosed the whereabouts of stolen property and recovered all the stolen items and cash.

Thus the team succeeded in solving the case in a recorded time due to their sincere efforts under the direction of Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO Bambooflat under the overall direction and supervision of Mr. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
