Port Blair, Oct 17: Shri Dependra Pathak, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands inaugurated an Eco-friendly Cafeteria “Rana’s Cafe” at IRBn HQ, Port Mout on 17th October, 2019 for the benefit of Police staff and their family members. The welfare cafeteria will serve meals, beverages, fast food, dessert and self baked bakery items. As a welfare measure the food items will be available on economical rates.  This cafeteria is first of its kind in A&N Police which has been made by IRBn personnel with the locally available natural resources and forest products. The cafeteria has been named “Rana’s Cafe” and is a tribute to Late Constable Vikram Singh Rana, who laid his life while on duty at IRBn (HQ), Port Mout. The inaugural function was attended by officers and men of A&N Police and IRBn.

Besides, the DGP, A&N Islands also distributed the prizes for winners and runner-ups of the inter-company sports/games tournaments.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP, A&N Islands said that welfare of ranks was his priority since it enables them to enhance their performance and congratulated IRBn staff for stupendous achievement in a very short time. He expressed his satisfaction on the motivation level by the force and its preparedness and wished them the best in future.
