Port Blair, Oct 05: The District Industries Centre, Department of Industries, A & N Administration, Port Blair will organize ‘Awareness cum Motivational Programme’ on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. Sponsored Schemes of the department at various places of Urban areas of South Andaman. Two such programmes shall be conducted at Brookshabad Tsunami Shelter Complex and New Pahadgaon Shopping Complex on 06/10/2020 at 02.00PM and at 04.00PM respectively. The Programme will be organized in association with Banks, PBMC, NGOs and other line departments.

The objective of the Programme is to disseminate information to the participants about the PMEGP Schemes apart from other incentive oriented various Schemes of the departments. The Awareness Programme will be followed by the first hand guidance to the entrepreneurs for completion of documentation and online procedure.

All the unemployed persons of the concerned area, interested in setting up self-employment ventures under Manufacturing, Service and Business sector may avail this opportunity under PMEGP Scheme. Unemployed persons are requested to attend the Programme along with essential documents. They will be guided on the procedures of online filing of PMEGP application and filled in hard copy of the applications will be collected on the spot. The collected applications will be forwarded online to the financing banks for credit decision after preliminary scruitiny and verification.
