Cleanliness Drive by Sant Nirankari Mandal, Junglighat, Port Blair

Port Blair, Feb 27: The Sant Nirankari Mission Celebrating 64th Birth Anniversary of the Satguru Baba Hardev Singh as Guru Puja Divas. As a tribute to Baba Hardev Singh Maharaj Cleanliness Drive is being organised throughout the country at around 564 Govt. Hospitals spread over 250 cities of India.

The cleanliness drive was carried out under the banner of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Delhi. In continuation of this day branch Junglighat, Port Blair has taken up Cleanliness Drive “SWACHHTA ABHIYAAN” at G.B. Pant Hospital Port Blair on 24th Feb. 2018 from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon. A simple function was held in the premises of G.B. Pant Hospital in the presence of Padma Shree Awardee Mr. Naresh Chandra Lal, Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Director of Health Mr. S.P. Burma, and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Padma Shree awardee Mr. Naresh Chandra Lal highlighted the quotation of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India “SANKALP SE SIDDHI”, the vision of Clean India. He also said that the cleanliness drive is not for a particular day and this has to be continuous in habit. Further, he added the volunteers of Nirankari Mission discharge their duties towards society following the discipline manner of the mission.

On the occasion Dr. Burma lauded on the importance of Swachhta in our surroundings. Further, he added that it is our responsibility to keep clean our surrounding.

All the dignitaries appreciated the step of selfness of Seva rendering towards society by the Sant Nirankari Mission. The function concluded with vote thanks by Incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal, Port Blair.
