Leadership Training For Women Cooperatives by RGCT College

Port Blair Apr 08 : A leadership Development Training supported by National Centre for Cooperative Education , New Delhi for chairperson and Directors of women Cooperatives is Conducted by Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training College of A&N state Cooperative Union .Thirty three women representing different cooperatives are attending the Program.

The three day long duration training was inaugurated by Mr. P.G Paul General Secretary , A&N State Cooperative Union in the Presence of Mr.. S.M. Alam , Asst. Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mr. Suresh Babu Principal , and Faculty members of RGCTC In his inaugural address Mr. P.G Paul underlined the need of arranging Capacity building programme for the women of Cooperatives in order to improve their skill and ability in Cooperative management, fund Management, decision making etc. Further he said women are considered as the real managers as they manage their family even in a low income and saves little . Women have proved their efficiency in many fields. In Cooperatives, too, the role of women is needed to be increased.

In his address, Mr. Suresh Babu Principal, RGCTC briefed the role of women in Cooperative development. He cited many Shining of women cooperatives. Mr.S.M Alam , ARCS, Cooperative department also Spoke on the occasion.

Earlier Ms. Radha Devi , Faculty Member welcomed the guests & participants . The inaugural function was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Nandini, Faculty Member.
