Port Blair, Dec 27: A 10 day certification program on Entrepreneurship Development by department of MSME has culminated here today at Tagore Govt. College of Education. Total 27 participants went through the program designed to assist the potential entrepreneurs to start-up their own ventures. Mr. Chandramouli Jangam, Asst. Director – Incharge, Dept. of MSME, welcomed the gathering and briefed about various initiatives that MSME has been taking to encourage the start-ups in Islands. During the program, resource persons from various govt. departments also shared the technical know-hows from the context of new ventures. The program was facilitated by Mr. Sumir Jeet Narayan, Head – PMKK, Andaman and Dr. Kavita R. Shanmughan, Director, Pratibimb.
Trainees pronounced the program as one of its kind which taught them the essential skills and necessary information required for setting-up and managing Micro, small, and medium enterprises. They stated that such programs not only inspire the youths to generate the income for themselves but also ignite a strong sense to create employment for others and deal with the problem of surging un-employment in Islands.
