Port Blair, Jan 22: With support of A&N Police, Traffic Department and following full COVID 19 protocols, Traffic management awareness Programme was held for NCC Cadets at JNRM Auditorium.  Capt (IN) V.K.Trivedi Commanding Officer 1 (AN) NUNCC welcomed the Guest Speakers from Traffic Department, A&N Police and AIR  team. He brought out the importance of traffic management in day to day life for the safety of all personnel in Society. Guest Speakers from A&N Police traffic Department explained the traffic regulations and management in details to the cadets. The ills of Drunken driving and rash driving were informed to the cadets. Lt Col A.Vivekananda, Commanding Officer, 1 AN Indep Inf Coy NCC appreciated the efforts of traffic Department in these islands stating that regulation and management of the traffic in these islands is the best.  NCC cadets were deployed in traffic posts and learnt traffic control from duty police traffic personnel. Cadets were cheerful and enthusiastic while participating in the awareness programme & demo deployment. Mr. Ajay Rai DSP (Traffic) personally motivated the NCC Cadets during demo deployment by his presence and the cadets enthusiastically interacted with him.

Capt (IN) V.K.Trivedi Commanding Officer 1 (AN) NUNCC thanked Special Guest Mr. Ajay Rai DSP (Traffic) & his team for making cadets aware of Traffic Regulations, Management and their importance in Road safety along with demo deployment. He also thanked Principal JNRM for facilitating the traffic awareness programme of cadets and AIR team for their presence and covering the event. He appreciated the efforts of Sub Lt. (ANO) (Dr) Satyam Setia in coordinating the progamme.  He also appreciated efforts of ANO, Caretakers and PI staff in conduct of necessary arrangements attributing to success of the programme .
