City Parade on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Port Blair, Nov 01: An impressive ceremonial parade was organized by the Andaman & Nicobar Police on the occasion of RashtriyaEktaDiwas (National Unity Day) in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Seven contingents of A&N Police, comprising of 01 Platoon each of Executive Police, male & female, IRBn, Fire Service, Home Guard and Police Bands led by Parade Commander Naveen Kumar, Asstt. Commandant, IRBn , marched impressively in sync with marching contingents of CRPF ,NCC of JNRM College and Scouts& Guides of RBV School and captivated the spectators. MR. Sanjay Kumar, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Andaman &Nicobar Islands, took salute on the occasion.
General public also witnessed the event and were particularly appreciative of A&N Police brass band and ladies pipe band which thrilled the audience with patriotic fervour, as they cheered loudly against the backdrop of a delightful evening.
31stOctober is observed all over the country as a day of special occasion, to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our nation, by celebrating it as RashtriyaEktaDiwas (National Unity Day).
