Port Blair, Oct 05: Recently Ms V. K. Mariyam Bibi, ex-Adhyaksha and Zilla Parishad member, South Andaman along with Mr. M. K. Sundaram , ZPM, Shorepoint  and Smti Rasheeda, ex – Pradhan Hopetown met Mr. Candavelu, Principal Secretary ( Health) and requested him to make the Operation theatre functional  in CHC Bambooflat as due to Covid 19, it was closed and surgery was not undertaken for any patients.

Further they demanded for early set up of dialysis unit at CHC. They also requested the Principal Secretary to make necessary directions to the concerned officials for early repair and maintenance of canteen.

The non -functioning of digital X-ray unit for last two months was also brought to his notice and urged him to issue necessary direction to the concerned to make it operational without further delay. He assured to look into all the matter put before him.
