Port Blair, Oct 09: Since 1986, first Monday of October is celebrated every year in the country as “World Habitat Day” to reflect on the state of our cities and towns and the basic human right to adequate shelter. To mark the occasion, the United Nations has selected the theme as “Housing Policies: Affordable Homes”. Alongwith all State & Local Centres of The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), the Andaman & Nicobar State Centre (ANSC) is also celebrating the Day. On the occasion the Centre is organising a Technical Lecture on “Housing Policies: Affordable Homes” on Tuesday, 10 October, 2017 at 3.30 pm at ALHW Conference Hall.
Engineers from PBMC & APWD, Port Blair will be making presentations on the Theme of this year.
All the Engineering Fraternity & interested persons of these islands are requested to attend the Technical Lecture.
